WOW! Here's a very rare and classic 1950's Hawaiian sarong dress pattern!
The lined bodice has princess seams and darts for a close fit, and boning so it stays up and keeps its shape. The wrap-around skirt has darts and pleats on the left side for a nice drape, and there is a zipper down the back. The pattern includes an optional halter neck strap that buttons on, and there is also a button-on kikepa stole than can be worn as a shoulder drape or let it hang down in the back for a dramatic effect.
This hard-to-find 1950s Polynesian Pattern is complete and quite usable. Some of the pieces were cut out with pinking shears that just barely nipped into the pattern pieces. The envelope is in good condition with a bit of creasing here and there. The instruction sheet is a copy of the original. Be a Hollywood-style Sarong Girl!
