V009D
With a load of Broadway costumes, a dress designer is bound for Argentina by ocean liner. But the ship sinks leaving her and her fiancé, a socialite, a cab driver and the other passengers stranded on a remote tropical island. To their surprise it is inhabited by native girls turned showgirls under the direction of a previously shipwrecked song-and-dance man who has proclaimed himself King. Spirited comedy, romance, lively dance routines performed by grass-skirted beauties and fun musical numbers that include: “Joe Jazz”, “I’ve Gotta Yen for You”, “My Mad Moment”, “It Seems to be Spring” and the film’s signature song “Let’s Go Native”.
